South Asian LGBTQ Support Group

As an organization and community, we have supported each other in a variety of ways.  Your Board is proud to announce that we are expanding our services.
We are launching a peer-facilitated support group that provides a safe, confidential space for KhushDC members to come together and share stories, struggles, and resources about LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex) South Asian experiences and issues (e.g. coming out, acceptance within ethnic and/or religious communities, workplace discrimination, etc.).

The support group will be facilitated by KhushDC memebers Sunu Chandy and Dawn Philip. Who have previously led support groups with the South Asian Lesbian and Gay Association (SALGA) in NYC.
The group will meet monthly at the DC Center, 2000 14th Street St., NW, #105, Washington, DC 20009.

The first meeting will take place on Saturday, July 18th, 1:30-3:00 PM.

If you cannot attend the first meeting, future meetings will take place on:

•  Saturday, August 15th, 1:30-3:00 PM
•  Saturday, September 19th, 1:30-3:00 PM
•  Saturday, October 17th, 1:30-3:00pm
This space is designed for KhushDC community members to meet and support each other to enhance individual and community well-being. We encourage you to participate to support yourself and/or other community members. Feel free to share this information with other South Asians who may benefit from participating in the support group.

If you would like to help facilitate or organize future support group meetings, please come at 1 PM to meet with the co-facilitators and add your voice to the discussion.
