***DUE TO SEVERE WINTER WEATHER PREDICTED FOR SUNDAY, DEC. 8, THIS EVENT IS BEING POSTPONED TO A FUTURE TBD DATE.***
In honor of World AIDS Day, KhushDC and The DC Center are hosting a film screening of My Brother Nikhil, an Indian film that raises awareness of HIV and AIDS.
In the movie, the protagonist, Nikhil, is a bright young swimmer whose life and dignity are snatched the minute it is discovered he is HIV+. It also shows the social stigma and extreme reservations attached in the minds of both the ignorant and the informed, when it comes to AIDS. (Source: Rediff Movies)
